Iqra Primary School

Iqra Primary School, developed as part of the Department for Education’s School Rebuilding Programme, provides a sustainable, adaptable learning environment for primary aged children. With a focus on NetZero carbon operation and sustainability, the design incorporates both passive and active strategies to reduce energy use and operating costs.

Located in a constrained city centre site, the project meets urban greening and biodiversity targets while enhancing community engagement. The school’s design supports future growth, offering flexibility for expansion while providing a welcoming space that fosters a sense of pride and ownership for both students and the surrounding community.
