Burntwood Court
A Luxurious, Sustainable Retreat in Harmony with Nature
Set within the peaceful grounds of Burntwood Court, this collection of nine luxury holiday homes reimagines rural hospitality — offering guests a sense of escape rooted in nature, comfort, and contemporary design.
Each self-contained retreat balances privacy and connection, inviting guests to slow down and experience the surrounding woodland through carefully considered interiors that are tactile, restorative, and attuned to the landscape.
The design of the holiday homes is inspired by their natural setting — an environment that encourages calm and reflection. Interiors are composed around views of trees, water features, and the shifting daylight, with large expanses of glazing that dissolve the boundary between inside and out.
Natural materials define the palette: timber, textured fabrics, and soft, neutral tones create a sense of warmth and continuity. The flow between sleeping, living, and outdoor spaces is seamless, guided by intuitive spatial planning and layered lighting that adapts to mood and time of day.
Each interior is designed to feel personal yet consistent — intimate spaces that offer guests both comfort and a sense of connection to the wider landscape.
“The project will boost local employment and invite visitors to experience the area's natural beauty, creating a sense of shared community and pride.”
Value
The design of the holiday homes is built around the idea of balance — between luxury and simplicity, privacy and connection. Each self-contained retreat is designed as a sanctuary, where interiors provide warmth, comfort, and a seamless relationship with the surrounding landscape.
Natural materials and soft, neutral tones create a calm, timeless aesthetic. Expansive glazing frames woodland views, blurring the boundary between inside and out, while layered lighting and thoughtful spatial planning shape a gentle rhythm through each space.
Every detail has been considered for durability and guest comfort — from bespoke joinery and tactile finishes to adaptable layouts that accommodate different guest needs. The result is an environment that feels indulgent yet effortless, enhancing wellbeing through design that works intuitively.
Impact
The interiors are designed to heighten the guest experience and strengthen the sense of place. Each holiday home feels personal, yet part of a cohesive whole — a collection of retreats that encourage relaxation, reflection, and reconnection.
Connection is at the heart of the design. Each interior opens directly to landscaped terraces and walking paths that lead guests toward the wider amenities of Burntwood Court, including its spa, restaurant, and leisure facilities. This sense of flow between private and shared space ensures that guests can move easily from quiet retreat to social experience.
The development also contributes to the local economy, attracting visitors to the region and supporting employment in hospitality and maintenance — ensuring that the project benefits both people and place.
Sustainability
The holiday homes have been constructed and fitted out using locally sourced, low-impact materials chosen for their longevity and minimal maintenance.
Passive design strategies maximise daylight, natural ventilation, and thermal comfort, reducing the need for mechanical systems. Energy-efficient lighting and heating solutions further lower operational demand.
Each interior was designed with the future in mind — flexible layouts, replaceable components, and durable finishes ensure longevity and reduce waste. By harmonising comfort and environmental responsibility, Burntwood Court offers a hospitality experience that is both sustainable and enriching.
