Bawtry Park Hotel and Spa
Set within the peaceful landscape of Austerfield, Bawtry Park Hotel has been conceived as a refined destination where luxury, wellbeing, and community spirit meet.
Interior Vision
Every space within Bawtry Park Hotel has been designed to evoke a sense of calm sophistication. The interior concept celebrates natural materials, soft textures, and warm, neutral tones that echo the surrounding landscape — creating a seamless transition between inside and out.
At the heart of the hotel, the reception and lounge areas set the tone for a relaxed yet elegant arrival, balancing contemporary detailing with timeless comfort. The design emphasises openness, light, and flow — guiding guests intuitively from the public zones into more private, restorative spaces such as the spa, health suites, and guest rooms.
The interiors embrace the principles of biophilic and sensory design, using natural light, tactile finishes, and carefully considered acoustics to enhance wellbeing. The result is a hospitality environment that feels grounded in place yet elevated in experience — a modern retreat designed for relaxation, connection, and rejuvenation.
Value
From the very beginning, our design goal for Bawtry Park was to create a destination that balanced sophistication with warmth, offering guests a luxurious and welcoming experience. The architectural vision harmonises modern design with traditional elements, ensuring the hotel feels both contemporary and timeless. Every detail was meticulously planned, from the central reception area to the elegant conference rooms, ensuring functionality alongside aesthetics.
This thoughtful design provides spaces that not only cater to immediate needs but are also adaptable to future growth, offering the client a versatile asset that can evolve with the market and future expansions. The final product is a place that encourages connections, whether it’s a guest unwinding in the spa or businesses meeting in the conference spaces.
Impact
Bawtry Park Hotel represents more than a place to stay — it’s a catalyst for community and connection. Its interiors have been shaped to encourage interaction and shared experience: generous lounge areas, vibrant dining spaces, and intimate breakout zones invite guests and locals alike to gather, celebrate, and unwind.
The hotel’s creation has also revitalised Austerfield’s local economy, generating over 130 jobs and positioning the site as a destination for leisure, wellness, and events. By integrating community engagement into the design process, the interiors reflect the character and aspirations of the local area — a celebration of craftsmanship, comfort, and place.
Sustainability
A notable feature is the modular data centre developed by Deep Green, embedded within the site. This innovation will save over 400 tonnes of carbon emissions annually, highlighting Bawtry Park’s commitment to reducing energy costs and embracing a more sustainable future.
We prioritised eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient systems, reducing the building’s carbon footprint - through these sustainable initiatives, we have created a facility that serves not just today’s needs but also future generations.
