Magna BDW Technologies International are a leading global automotive supplier. Appointed in early 2016, Bond Bryan provided full architectural services for the creation of this new aluminium foundry on the client’s 9.4-hectare site.
The building occupies approximately half of the site, orientated North South as the most economic arrangement for future expansion. The building’s façades comprise of a precast concrete plinth at low level with composite panels laid vertically above. The shipping building is clad using a profiled cladding system. Vertical glazed panels punctuate the façade and the offices are provided with full height glazing to maximise daylight and views out.
With a complex brief to adhere to, Bond Bryan were able to create a building both unique in its varying forms and highly significant to its dual functions.
