BBA announces London Studio

On 26th September award winning architectural consultancy Bond Bryan Architects welcomed eighty guests to celebrate the opening of their new London Studio. The event took place just a few steps away from the new Studio on Grays Inn Road at the Bond Bryan designed Westminster Kingsway College.

The event, attended by clients and consultant partners, allowed guests to view the College’s impressive atrium and contribute to an excellent social occasion.

Jonathan Herbert, Managing Director, welcomed guests and said,

“Building upon the success of our studios in Sheffield, Kent and the Middle East, Bond Bryan’s new London Studio will enable us to expand our services in London as well as nationally and internationally, allowing our talented team to design new exciting projects for the education and commercial sectors.”

Greham Raynham, London Director, reinforced Jonathan’s words by stating,

“We have a great platform upon which to build our opportunities in London and we are very much looking forward to working with existing and new clients and partners to deliver more fantastic projects.  The launch party has been a great success, it is pleasing to see so many familiar faces in one of our buildings.”

Rob Jackson Speaking at BIM Show Live

Once again Bond Bryan is playing a leading role in the development and use of the latest Building Information Modelling (BIM) software, which allows construction industry consultants, contractors and building managers to share and use coordinated “data-rich” 3D information.

Rob Jackson, BIM Manager and Associate at Bond Bryan, spoke alongside Nigel Davies and Daniel Heselwood, Directors of Evolve Consultancy at BIM Show Live: the UK’s largest annual BIM event with around 600 delegates.

Rob is a passionate advocate of an “Open BIM” approach: transferring data between different software developers’ products via use of the common language known as “IFC”.  The shared presentation looked at the challenges of transferring data but also demonstrated that issues are being identified and resolved.

BIM Show Live 2013 was held at the Park Plaza, Westminster, London.
