Bond Bryan to support Museums Sheffield

Each year, Bond Bryan adopts a “charity of the year” programme to raise additional funds for those concerned. This year, Bond Bryan Sheffield are delighted to be supporting Museums Sheffield.

Museums Sheffield is the charity responsible for three of the city’s museums and galleries: Millennium Gallery, Weston Park Museum and Graves Gallery. They work hard to retain Sheffield’s identity and support the city through a whole host of exhibitions, workshops, creative sessions and events – bringing people together, sparking community pride and creating a more vibrant place where we all want to live and work.

Bond Bryan will be supporting Museums Sheffield with their quest to ensure that everyone in Sheffield and the city region has access to a consistent and high quality arts and cultural learning experience. They, like us, are committed to inspiring the next generation of artists, curators, collectors and visitors, using Sheffield’s rich collections to spark curiosity and imagination through community cohesion.

BBA "joined forces" with MLM in aid of The Royal Marines Charitable Trust

On Saturday, BBA “joined forces” with MLM Group to take part in the Commando Series 11/11 for the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund; the 6km, 21-obstacle race was extremely muddy and everyone had frequent opportunities to become immersed in ice cold water – It was a good test of fitness, team work and was intensely character-building!

Well done to all involved!

Dig Deep for Tough Mudders

On a drizzly and overcast morning in Skipton, a motley crew of Architects and Technicians put themselves through what’s understood to be the toughest endurance event in the country: the ‘Tough Mudder’.

There was certainly a lot of the stuff (mud) along with many other leg trembling obstacles ranging from ’the Arctic Enema’ which entailed being plunged head first into an ice bath at the start of the course, to crawling through closely confined tunnels neck deep in, yes you guessed it, mud.

Not known for their sympathy, the organisers erected electrically charged swinging cables at the finish.  Despite everything that was thrown at them, the whole team succeeded in finishing the course and so far have managed to raise an impressive £1,435 for our nominated charity, MacMillan.  We extend a big thank you to everyone who sponsored the foolhardy team.

Bond Bryan Architects Team Complete their Challenge!

Our team have completed the Mistress Cutler’s Challenge, which encourages Sheffield based businesses to raise money for The Children’s Hospital Charity.

In just six months Bond Bryan people raised a fantastic £5,012.09.  The team worked in a wide variety of imaginative ways; this included participating in the Trans Pennine Challenge, walking 50km between Manchester and Sheffield!

The Children’s Hospital Charity helps to make an extraordinary hospital in Sheffield even better by providing the best possible equipment and funding ground breaking research.  As one of just four such specialist centres for children, young patients come from all over the UK to see the hospital’s specialists.  Together in six months all local participants raised £167,000 for the charity.
