Blue Light Project

Building area 3,100m2

Contract period 2021 – 2023

Construction value £10.5m

The Redditch Combined Emergency Services Hub is a new joint fire and police station which aims to maximise the value of the publicly owned estate through collaboration and partnership working on a vacant brownfield site adjacent to the existing fire station in Redditch.
The project consists of taking the project from concept design, through developed design to planning submission, technical design through construction to completion and handover, as both the existing Police and Fire Stations are no longer fit for purpose and uneconomic to operate.
The new combined station is to accommodate 3 appliance bays and incorporate appropriate operational accommodation and welfare requirements for both the Police and Fire and Rescue Service.
The new site will also incorporate a training tower, associated staff/operational and visitor car parking and electric vehicle charging points.
The scheme is to encompass Low or Zero Carbon (LZC) technology where practicable and achieve a minimum BREEAM rating of ‘GOOD’.
