Document Controller/Administrator

We have a fantastic opportunity for two Document Controllers to join our award-winning Practice based in our Sheffield and our Westerham Studio. The successful candidates will assist and support our project teams on a number of schemes across the Studio, being responsible for the flow of project documentation and providing general administrative support (as required).



The role of the Document Controller is to support the Architectural Delivery Teams in the effective use of Common Data Environments (CDEs) and other technology platforms to meet digital delivery requirements on projects.

The practice specialises in openBIM and the successful candidate will, ideally, have some knowledge of collaborative processes in the construction industry. The practice utilises Asite and Viewpoint as their typical CDEs and a basic working knowledge of these platforms is preferable, although further training will be provided. The Document Controller will undertake the following tasks for the project teams within their office:

  • Uploading our drawings, documents and models to CDE
  • Downloading others’ comments on our drawings, documents and models from CDE
  • Downloading others’ drawings, documents and models for our comments from CDE
  • Uploading our comments on others’ drawings, documents and models to CDE

  • Salary: £18k – £20k + excellent benefits package
  • Location: Westerham (Kent) or Sheffield
  • Position reports to: Head of Technical Operations
  • Contract: Permanent, 37.5 hours per week



The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following qualities:

  • Strong IT skills
  • Should enjoy the challenges of supporting a professional office of diverse and creative people
  • Minimum of 5 GCSE’s at A-C (4-9) including maths and English, or equivalent
